ABOUT US

Beykent University European Union Application and Research Centre (BUAB) was founded in 2019 under the Rectorate. Set up in 2019, BUAB aims to promote the University's scientific output and contribute to Turkey's efforts harmonization with -and integration to- the European Union (EU) through research and education. The Centre also conducts multi-dimensional research and applications focusing on the European integration process and Turkey's role in the latter. With this objective, it holds academic events such as conferences, congresses, workshops, and symposiums that relate to BUAB’s mission. Contributing to the career development of researchers by involving them into the above-mentioned activities is another objective, along with the involvement of experts and institutions into these activities for an added value.

Every year, two international conferences titled as "European Union's Foreign Policy: Trends and Perspectives" are being held by BUAB with the participation of established researchers and experts. In addition, a weekly international press bulletin is regularly prepared in Turkish to inform the wider public and raise awareness on EU-related issues. The Centre also carries out educational programmes and student workshops.
